A garden workshop needs to do more than simply keep the mower dry. If you need space for a workbench, tools, equipment or a hobby, the construction, access and layout of the building all become more important.
Puffin Sheds manufactures pressure-treated wooden workshop sheds, available for delivery or professional installation in Cirencester and the surrounding GL7 area.

A workshop is likely to see considerably more use than a basic storage shed.
You may be walking in and out regularly, installing a workbench, hanging tools from the walls or storing heavier equipment on the floor.
That's why we start with a proper timber structure.
Puffin workshop sheds use 45mm x 45mm planed timber framing, with framing spaced no more than 450mm apart.
The exterior is finished with 14.5mm rebated redwood shiplap cladding, giving the building a solid timber exterior rather than thin overlap boarding.
The floor is particularly important when buying a workshop shed.
Puffin Sheds uses 18mm structural plywood flooring supported on 45mm x 45mm timber framing. There is no OSB flooring.
That gives you a substantial floor for everyday workshop use, whether you're adding storage, a workbench or keeping tools and equipment inside.

A workshop layout should work for what you're actually going to do inside. This is where our made-to-order approach becomes useful. You can choose options including:
If you know where your workbench will sit, for example, we can position windows with natural light in mind.
If you're moving larger equipment in and out, double workshop doors may make far more sense than a standard single entrance.
You make these decisions when ordering rather than trying to adapt the building afterwards.

Our workshop sheds are manufactured using timber pressure treated with Tanalith E preservative.
When timber is cut during manufacture, the exposed cuts are treated with end-grain preservative.
This isn't an optional treatment package. It's part of the standard Puffin Sheds build specification.
Our sheds can be supplied with traditional shed roofing felt, but an EPDM rubber roof upgrade is also available.
If you're buying a workshop that you expect to use regularly and keep for the long term, it's an upgrade worth considering.
