Standard construction includes:
45mm × 45mm pressure-treated timber framing – sturdy construction with framing spaced no more than 450mm apart.
14.5mm rebated redwood shiplap cladding – pressure-treated with Tanalith E to protect against fungal decay and insect attack.
Real glass windows – generous glazing across the front and sides to maximise natural daylight.
18mm structural plywood floor – supported by a framework of pressure-treated timber joists.
18mm structural plywood roof – supported by timber roof joists, providing a strong, solid roof structure.
Roofing felt – supplied as standard, with an optional single-piece EPDM rubber roof upgrade.
Framed timber door – complete with hinges and secure fastening.
Natural ventilation – permanent roof-level ventilation openings and adjustable low-level wall vents to encourage airflow.
Good ventilation is important for managing heat, humidity and air circulation inside a greenhouse.
Our wooden greenhouses feature permanent ventilation openings beneath both the high and low ends of the pent roof, allowing air to circulate naturally.
Additional adjustable air vents are fitted along the lower wall sections, allowing you to increase or reduce incoming airflow depending on the weather and growing conditions.
This simple ventilation system operates without electricity and helps encourage fresh air movement around your plants.
Our wooden greenhouses feature a solid pent roof constructed from 18mm structural plywood supported by timber joists, providing a strong foundation for the waterproof roof covering.
Traditional roofing felt is included as standard. However, we recommend upgrading to our single-piece EPDM rubber roof for improved durability and long-term weather protection.
Unlike traditional felt roofing, our EPDM rubber roof is installed as one continuous sheet, eliminating joins across the roof surface and providing a durable, low-maintenance waterproof covering.
