Choose Where Your Doors and Windows Go

This is where made-to-order becomes particularly useful. A standard door and window layout doesn't work for every garden. You may need the entrance at the opposite end because of a path. You might want a window positioned above a future workbench, or no window at all so you have more usable wall space for shelving. Depending on the building, options can include:

• Adding or repositioning windows
• Increasing the internal height

Height is another area where buying a made-to-order shed can make a difference. Our standard garden sheds generally maintain approximately 6ft of internal height at the lowest point, with workshops typically built a little higher. But that doesn't have to be the height of your shed. If you're particularly tall, want more clearance or have another reason for increasing the building height, speak to us before ordering. 

If you're 6ft 6in tall, tell us. We manufacture the shed rather than simply reselling it, so we can look at adapting the building to suit.

Made to Order Doesn't Mean Compromising on Construction

Whatever configuration you choose, the core Puffin Sheds specification remains the same. Our garden sheds use 45mm x 45mm planed timber framing, 14.5mm rebated redwood shiplap cladding, 18mm structural plywood flooring and 18mm plywood roof on sturdy joists.

Timber is pressure treated using Tanalith E preservative, with exposed cuts protected with end-grain preservative during manufacture.
